    • Lodewijk Meijer studied Dutch Agriculture from 1937 at the Agricultural University in Wageningen. He received his candidature on 7 May 1941. He lived in rooms at Veluviaweg 14 in Wageningen.

      On 7 April 1942 the marriage of Lodewijk Meijer and his wife took place in Wageningen.

      Lodewijk Meijer, his wife, his mother Flora Meijer-Carels and his two brothers were arrested by the Gestapo in March 1943 in Cologne. They were fleeing to Switzerland.
      From Cologne, Lodewijk, his wife and his mother were deported via Berlin to Auschwitz.
      His brothers were transported via Berlin to Theresiƫnstadt, they survived this camp.
      Flora Meijer-Carels died in Auschwitz on an unknown date. Lodewijk's wife survived Auschwitz.
      Lodewijk Meijer died of TB on 12 March 1944 in the hospital barracks, block 9, in the Auschwitz extermination camp.
