490 Eliza's birth certificate states Charles Pulford as the father despite him having died two years earlier.

I have entered Henry Beckett as father as Eliza worked at his house prior to Charles's death and later lived in Beckett's house after Charles's death. Under normal circumstances Eliza would have been thrown out on the street.

499 Ernest appears in the 1881 Census as Son of Arthur and Emma Balls. The same in 1891 however, in 1901 he seems to have married and taken the family name Tooke. If you look up the Wedding then he is Ernest Balls Tooke.

The question is was he born outside wedlock? and has taken his biological farthers family name. Looking at the birth on GRO he is born the same quarter of 1873 that Arthur and Emma get married.
