    You poor, unhappiest mother!
Here you probably already had a foreboding of the appalling
fate destined for you! You cried bitterly,
“I’m so afraid of the terrible winter,
I’m so lonely there - in everybody’s way”
3 weeks later you were drugged*,
driven/pushed onto the street, fastened on to the stretcher under police safe-keeping/custody and
locked up in the lunatic asylum. The fiendish Dr.Kat
completed the work of your children, “The mother’s
arms are stung green and yellow with injections”!

  • Notes
    • Elsa Selten nee Lustig was born in Berlin, Germany in 1887. Prior to WWII she lived in Berlin, Germany. Deported with Transport from Berlin to Eastern Europe on 26/06/1942. Elsa perished in the Shoah. This information is based on a list of deportation from Berlin found in the Gedenkbuch Berlins der juedischen Opfer des Nazionalsozialismus, Freie Universitaet Berlin, Zentralinstitut fuer sozialwissenschaftliche Forschung, Edition Hentrich, Berlin 1995

The date of death is uncertain although it appears that the Selton family were transported from Berlin 24th June 1942 and arrived in the Minsk area on the 26. At that time most transports when directly to
Maly Trostinec and the prisoners put to death almost immediately.
